A conversation with Nima Ahmed

Meet Nima, a Somali-Finnish scholar navigating the academic landscape. As a child, she and her family migrated to the UK, where she completed her elementary, secondary, and undergraduate education. Nima later returned to Finland to pursue her master's degree in sociology and is currently a PhD student at the University of Helsinki. She shares her experiences studying abroad, the cultural transitions she encountered, and the journey that ultimately brought her back to Finland for further education.
